THE FAILING OF THE AMERICAN MEDIA

Readers be forewarned, it’s soapbox time.

To say the aftermath of the 2016 Presidential election has been like none other in history has gotten to be a tired, worn statement. The what can only be described as rabidness of the Democrats in Congress to keep the focus of America on the Russian election issue in harming Dear Hillary and preventing her from becoming President, brings to mind the Watergate scandal. Common sense, not that there is such a thing in politics, demands some questions which are now coming to the forefront.

To this journalist, it has been a sad statement to see just how gullible the American media was in falling for the Russian story on influencing the 2016 Presidential election. The American media and its volumes of “experts” has risen to the level of mind boggling, along with downright stupidity.

The journalists’ job is to present both sides of any newsworthy story regardless of the subject matter, not portray themselves as experts on the Presidency and portray the President negatively. The problem with journalists in this present time is, in a word, TRADITION. Members of Congress and journalists despise the non-traditional demeanor of President Trump, as though Congress before Trump was such a stellar and admired entity.

Senator John McCain (R-Arizona) hit the nail on the head when he railed against fellow Congressmen, “We are getting nothing done, . . . we are getting nothing done.” Most American would reply, “So what’s new!” If businessmen operated as Congress has (and the media), there would be no America as we know it.

How many American are aware of the Democrats’ IT Scandal? Certainly not many based on the amount of presenting by the Sunday morning talk shows – Face the Nation, Meet the Press. Of course there is a lack of “business acumen” amongst most Congressman and absolutely across the American media.

When President Trump pulled America out of the Paris Climate Agreement, the media demonstrated the lack of ability to recognize the underlying tactic. What did the voluntary compliance aspect of the Kyoto Agreement back in the mid 2000’s get the world?  A lot of back slapping, handshaking, and all on board, except that America would be at the head of the pack for expenditures.

How many members of Congress and the press was capable of recognizing what took place instantly when the President made his announcement about the Paris Climate Agreement? Not one!! Except for Australia and Afghanistan siding with America, all other countries were adamant at abiding by the agreement and fulfilling the provisions almost as a show of strength against Trump.

President Trump’s actions took America out of the position of having to shoulder the expense, but no one noticed the explanation by the President, that America could still fulfill the requirements of the Agreement, just not held responsible for the financial bill.

Now to the Democrats’ IT scandal for which there has been a dearth of coverage by the American media.

The H-1b visas for tech workers program has gained new scrutiny as the Russian 2016 election continues. Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has taken on the case of a Pakistani family (Imran Awan) and friends employed by several Democratic Congressman over a period of 13 years, according to The Daily Signal. The group of IT workers are involved in an ongoing investigation in a criminal theft and hacking probe of the House Democrats’ information security systems. Over this time period, the group has been paid more than $4 million in government funds (your and my tax dollars, by the way).

Grassley is demanding to know among other information, if members of the “Awan and Company” are not H-1Bs, “how exactly did they get here, when did they get here and who brought them over here and why?”

American IT workers have been adamantly vocal about foreign H-1b visa holders filling IT positions with members of Congress on both sides of the aisle. Awan’s younger brother was hired as an IT worker by Representative Julia Brownley (D-California) since 2014 (then age 20) at a salary of $160,000.00 annually (InsideGov places this figure at 3.1 times greater than the median salary for a House IT worker), according to The Daily Signal.

There is obviously a great deal more to this new “branch” of the Democratic IT scandal and the Russian scandal which Seeing the Round Corners will revisit when Senator Grassley releases his findings so look for follow up in this column.

As a further indication of the mainstream media’s zeal to protect Dear Hillary, the Justice Department has reopened the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified material on her private email system while she was secretary of state, and “is considering offering her a plea bargain if she will agree to plead guilty to charges of breaking the law,” according to NEWSMAX. Seems the the Justice Department “after Comey” has reexamined the email case and believes there are ample grounds for prosecuting Hillary on a number of counts. Could this be the reason for Dear Hillary be so out of sight? More as that reexamination unfolds.
