DEMOCRATS PUSH FOR A SOCIALIST AMERICA

Socialism (a true definition):  An economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by government rather than by private enterprise, and in which cooperation rather than competition guides economic activity. (It should be pointed out, there are many varieties of socialism,)

Socialism/socialist was not exactly topic of the day before Bernie Sanders came on the scene. Sanders filed his Federal Election Commission paperwork on April 30, 2015, saying his “party affiliation” was the “Democratic Party.” Prior to that filing, Sanders had self-described himself as a socialist, had never been a Democrat in name and had always been identified as a third party or unaffiliated candidate.

FYI – Sanders caucuses with the Democrats, thus enabling his appointment to congressional committees, and at times, giving Democrats a majority.

Sanders is listed in Congress as an Independent, and is the longest serving independent in congressional history, having been elected to the House of Representatives in 1990 from Vermont, and to the Senate in 2007.

Hopefully the day is coming when citizens of America realize just how biased the mainstream media (both on-air and print) are in coverage on what is happening to the values America was founded on.

Those on the “left” push their agenda of open borders, but disguise that agenda in various terms – the most favorite is the well-publicized reasons(s) for granting asylum to those entering the United States illegally.

Readers should note the reports on the border are near the 99 percent level about the southern border of the United States. What about the border to the north, the border between Canada and the United States? How many times in the last year has the media reported on the northern border?

Considering the few number of legal points of entry and the near total absence of barriers along it, the northern border of the United States is as near open as it could be without the actual reality of being so.

The Democrats’ push for turning the United States into a socialist country has been subtle until recent years, until the likes of Sanders and the motor-mouth from New York (AOC) came on the scene. This writer refuses to put that woman’s name on paper.  Some refer to these two as “celebrity politicians.”

When a change such as to socialism for America is undertaken, the purveyors of such a catastrophic change are well aware it must be done in baby steps so ordinary citizens do not realize what is happening until it is too late.

As an example of a “subtle” step the Democrats have put in motion since re-gaining the majority in the House of Representatives is “seeking to remove ‘God’ from the House Committee oath.” America was founded and has been known to be a Christian nation despite former President Obama’s efforts otherwise. Yes, the U. S. Constitution provides for a separation of church and state.

Here are the proposed changes to the oath which the Democrats are “pushing to eliminate a reference to God from the oath witnesses take in front of the House Committee on Natural Resources.” The words “so help you God” would be replaced with the phrase “under penalty of law.” So, before testifying, the witness would be asked:

  • “Do you solemnly swear or affirm, under penalty of law, that the testimony that you are about to give is the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?”

Other changes proposed by the Democrats are making proceedings gender neutral by removing the phrase “his or her” from the panel rules and instead use the word “their.” Chairman would be eliminated and instead refer to the committee’s “chair.”

The changes proposed prompted a response from Wyoming’s Congresswomen Liz Cheny (R-Wyo), the House Republican Conference Chairwoman:  “It is incredible but not surprising that the Democrats would try to remove God from committee proceedings in one of their first acts in the majority. They really have become the party of Karl Marx”
